Trio Namaste Plays Brooks and Mecionis in Italy

On Monday, December 10, 2018, Natalia Benedetti and Guido Arbonelli of Trio Namaste gave the world premiere performance of Richard Brooks' Dialogue for E-flat clarinet and B-flat clarinet on a concert of the New York Composers Circle, at which time Richard was asked by Guido Arbonelli to compose more movements to make it a suite of dialogues. The world premiere of the second and third Dialogues occurred on July 9, 2019 in Algheri, Sardinia, Italy at the Chiostro di San Francesco.

Also on the program was Table Canon for Two Clarinets by David Mecionis, which was also premiered by Benedetti and Arbonelli on the December 10 concert in New York. Table Canon received a subsequent performance on December 23 at the Conservatorio del Cherubini in Florence, Italy on a concert by Quintetto Namaste, which included music by Anton Oldyard, Clair Johnson, Stephen Foster, Astor Piazzolla, Battista Lena, Mario Raja, and Charles Cohen. 

The program in Sardinia included music by Mozart, Bellini, Ginastera, Lodi Luka, Piazzolla, and Grgin. Below is the program from the concert, which was part of a summer music series held in Algheri.
