Our clarinet friends from Italy, DUO NAMASTE, which is Guido Arbonelli and Natalia Benedetti, will perform a concert of clarinet music on October 25, 2020 at the Teatro degli Oscuri, Piazza Matteotti in Torrita di Siena, Italy. Included in their program will be music by NYCC composer members David Mecionis, Richard Brooks, and Robert Cohen.

“IL DUO DI CLARINETTI AL TEMPO DEL CORONA VIRUS”
Come nel “Decamerone” del Boccaccio, ove un gruppo di dieci giovani
rifugiatisi fuori dalla Firenze del XIV secolo infestata dalla peste
raccontano a turno delle novelle di vario genere (bucolico, amoroso,
scandalistico, umoristico etc.), così il Duo Namaste, in una sorta di
Decamerone musicale durante il periodo del lockdown, ha organizzato
via web 7 trasmissioni presentando vari stili musicali.

I compositori sono state quelle persone che per sfuggire al virus si
sono rifugiati in casa interrompendo la loro quotidianità musicale ma
non la loro ispirazione che è ripresa grazie al progetto “MUSICAL
LIVING ROOM” del Duo Namaste (visibile sul canale youtube di
Arbonelli).

Il Duo vuole raccontare la musica al tempo del corona virus.

"THE DUO OF CLARINETS IN THE TIME OF THE CORONA VIRUS"

As in Boccaccio's “Decamerone”, where a group of ten young people

took refuge outside the plague-infested 14th-century Florence

they tell stories of various kinds in turn (bucolic, amorous,

scandalistic, humorous etc.), so the Duo Namaste, in a sort of

Musical decameron during the period of the lockdown, he organized

via web 7 broadcasts presenting various musical styles.

The composers were those people who to escape the virus themselves

they are refugees at home interrupting their musical daily life but

not their inspiration which is revived thanks to the “MUSICAL

LIVING ROOM ”by the Duo Namaste (visible on the youtube channel of

Arbonelli).

The Duo wants to tell the music of the time of the coronavirus.
