Richard Brooks’s L’apres-midi d’un Schoenberg is a vocal chamber work for 4 singers, flute, clarinet, violin, cello and piano, with a libretto by Nancy Bogen. It will be performed on September 17 at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, with Arturo Ortega conducting musicians from the university. It will be performed again in New York City on September 22 at the Austrian Cultural Forum, 11 East 52nd Street at 7:30 pm. The program will also include a performance of Pierrot Lunaire by Arnold Schoenberg.
