Debra Kaye piece performed in Beacon, NY

Debra Kaye’s While We Were Sleeping (2012) is to be performed by pianist Craig Ketter in Beacon, NY, Sunday, June 1, at 4pm. Also on the program are works by Beethoven, Chopin & Mussorgsky.

Debra writes of the piece:

While We Were Sleeping is a dramatic, semi-improvised piece, Poseidon unleashed, my response to the devastation of Super Storm Sandy. The storm approached at night, I improvised the opening, thought of our unheeded wake up calls and woke to find what had happened while we were sleeping.
