Carl Kanter

Carl Kanter is a graduate of the Harvard Law School and of Harvard College where he majored in Music. Since retirement and a hiatus of about 40 years, he has returned to composition. For several years he studied composition at the Manhattan School of Music with Dr. Reiko Fueting. He has written primarily chamber music, including several string quartets and for various combinations of piano and strings, but also 3 suites for orchestra, some concertos and many small pieces for piano solo.
